Is it me or has the hidden immunity idol idea been played out and used to death? The medallion of power idea has potential but the way it was this season it gave one tribe far too much advantage over the other. I'm ready to see something fresh and new in the Survivor twist department. Post your ideas and we'll see if the producers pay any attention to what the die hard fans have to offer....

I think a good twist would be istead of hidden immunity idols they hide things that mean different things. One thing could be a invitation to participate in a reward that the other tribe has won. Another could be you force someone to have to sit out of a challenge. A invitation to to the other tribe's tribal council. A really good one would be to allow the person who has it to cast two votes instead of one. Even one that has the power to void a hidden immunity idol or individual immunity.
I would scatter one of each in each camp and have the clues in plain sight. And when they find the idol it has a riddle with it that they have to figure out to find out what each idol's power is. It would be interesting to see all the bargaining and deal making between those who have the idols.

- The tribe that wins immunity will vote out a player of the other tribe, but there's no time for strategic talk, tribal is right after the challenge, all mentioning of names is prohibited during TC - split idol: each camp has one half of an idol, it is worthless unless combined with the other half of the idol that is hidden in the other camp. - tribe switch idol: this idol can be used to switch tribes at any point in time even right before TC, the new tribe member has one time immunity for the next TC

I'd love to see them either get rid of the HII or reduce it's use by giving a definite expiration such as 'this idol is only good until the merge' or 'this idol may only be used at the next two tribals' ect. Also please for Heaven's sake only one or two idols in the game period. Stop reburying it every week.
I do like the idea of a split idol (above) and I'd be interested in re-doing the Samoa leader twist, adding in some actual power for the person voted leader, such as the power to break ties.

They need to do a season in reverse (sorta). For the first few episodes, have just one big tribe. After that, split them into groups. A final merge can happen later on. Doing it this way would completely shift the dynamics of the game, people with early alliances in the big tribe would have to scramble once the tribe is split, etc. Could break up the monotony of the usual season format.
I like the idea of the "split idol"... though what happens if the person who carries one half of the idol is booted before the merge? The twist becomes useless!

I'd like to see a season with NO twists. Just a bunch of people stuck in a strange place. No provisions provided, no idols, nothing....But if I did want a crazy twist I'd do a season of husbands vs. wives, or after 21 seasons they have enough to take all the players that were voted out first in each season and create tribes using only those people. They never really got a chance to play!!

How about an all male season and a separate all female season? I don’t mean men on one tribe and women on another I mean an entire season cast with just one gender. It would, I’d assume be an interesting social dynamic.

I always liked the twists that made Survivor more about skill, and less about luck. That's why I really like the hidden immunity idol, and I am looking forward to the Redemption Island twist. I didn't care much for the Medallion of Power because it decreased the skill level, seeing as how two evenly matched teams would end up trading immunities back and forth each episode. One thing I had been toying with in my head is the idea of a scroll, which allows a cast member to cast a second vote at any Tribal Council they wish to use it. It wouldn't be hidden, like the hidden immunity idol, but placed in a faraway location, and marked with a white flag. This would force the contestant to go on a long trek to retrieve it. They would all be revealed at the beginning of the episode (perhaps seven) and would be equidistant from both camps to keep it fair. It could also stir up drama or cross-tribal alliances if a member from both tribes met up at the same time as a result.
